Back from Japan!! ok thinking about the long itenarary (ok i'm having some problems connecting to my spelling brain). need bluetooth badly. (quoted from ah ma). anyway, shall just let you all know.
27th nov: the flight take off was just 5mins to midnight so nothing much to say.
28th nov: reached tokyo, narita airport at about 8 plus in the morning (japan time=1h later than Sin). the rest of the day was basically waiting and travelling to our destination. Finally, we arrived at Miyazaki airport at about 5pm. There was a welcome ceremony with banners and everything. "Welcome to Miyazaki" was what was on the super huge banner with huge fonts. We were all really tired so slept on the way to the hotel, had a welcome buffet and finally went to bed. Their pillows are like, filled with beans!!!
29th nov: With a stiff neck, i had an american breakfast, scrambled eggs, pancakes, everything. The japanese college organisers decided to bring us shopping before going to the college. Quite a big group of us were going to the same college, which was a good thing. Some of us had to separate. So off we went to the mall, /Eon. No idea how to pronounce it. Ah ma, Regina and I were stuck together like magnets (almost the whole trip) so we rushed straight to Jusco. Sometimes we just do funny things for no reason. Like filling up boxes with lots of cute chocolates. actually, it's just the wrapper that has the cute hello kitty/my melody faces on it. at first we saw that the boxes were 350yen and there were chocolates beside them. so we were just filling it up for fun, until it was filled to the brim. hahahahah. regina went to the cashier and paid for it, even though it couldn't even be closed. hahah. so we started piling boxes with chocolates. we spent about 1h doing that i think. the funniest thing ever. so at about 4pm, we reached the college and met up with our hosts. To my surprise, my host was an English teacher in the college. Like how cool is that?? I was still afraid that I wouldn't communicate with my host because i didn't learn much Japanese. ok enough nonsense. His wife and son came and brought me home as he still had work to do. At home, i had a nice nice tatami room to myself. hahah. We had japanese curry, salad and miso soup for dinner. I gave them some gifts to thank them for hosting me and they were really amazed by them. hahah. I thought my host would be bout 18 so i chose a mobile phone holder for her/him. But i ended up giving it to the 10 year old son.....who doesn't have a phone. HMMMM
30th Nov:
9-9.15am: Cycle to college. (he usually cycles to school so i borrowed his wife's bike. he offered to drive but I thought it might be a nice experience. Well, it was COLD.)
9.20-10.30: English communication class (talked about Sin's festivals/school life/culture at home)
10.45-12nn: English teaching methods class (reunion with ah ma and regina and slipped out of class halfway. They were having a demonstration of teaching english to jap students. BOring.)
12-1pm: Lunch (Rice, fried chicken, potato, salad, miso soup)
1-2.30pm: English pronunciation class (had a quiz and it's time to show off. i got 100/100 for it!!! whheeeee!! Bazooka got only 95!! hahah. and there was all this signs. so confusing. ): that's not a sad face. it's pronounced as OOO. then we played a game. my group didn't win.:( now this is a sad face)
3-4.20pm: Flower arrangement/Jap tea ceremony class (we hopped classes in the middle.)

ok i have no idea what my ah ma is trying to do. but she looks super funny:DDD
4.30-4.45pm: Cycled home
5-6pm: Made Gyoza (they're fried dumplings. forgot to take pics of it. so cool!!!) helped to scoop rice
6-9pm: Dinner (had gyoza, salad and miso soup. they bought a cake for me. i was soooo touched. cos they knew it was my birthday a week ago and wanted to celebrate with me.)
1st dec: Saturday!! they brought me to sightseeing places and tourist attractions. the sceneries were great. went to Aya suspension bridge which was about 142m high and 250m long. so cool!!
We visited the Aya Obi Castle too. I dyed a peice of cloth, it looks pretty!!
ok uploading images is a little time consuming so i shall upload the rest when i can. we had dinner at this nice nice restaurant where they serve really fresh fish. I tried different kinds of raw fish like tai, haji (horse mackeral), maguro (tuna) and lots more. Great food!! But the meal was quite expensive. my set alone was 2000yen. about 30bucks here. they ordered alot of side dishes too. Did i mention that they have GPS installed in their car??? How cool is that!!!
2nd dec: We had to meet back at the hotel latest by 5pm so we still had the morning and afternoon to spend with our hosts. They brought me sightseeing, yes, again. but i enjoyed it. They were like, "yesterday we brought you to the mountains, today we will bring you to the sea." They meant the beach. Anyway, it's the same thing. We visited Aoshima island, which was surrounded by the sea. It had a shrine there too. And my host family bought me an amulet for my studies. How nice of them:))) ok shall let yall enjoy the beautiful scenery.
